Chak De yaara- promoting peace

Posted by speakindia on December 31, 2007

On the 30th december 2007 I saw a show “Chak de yaara” on star plus which had the Indian and Pakistan cricket team along with their coaches and other supporting panel. To host the show, we had none other than King khan (shahrukh khan) . The event I thought was a fabulous event and the message it gave ( The message of peace ) was the best part. I think about 99.99 % of the population on India and Pakistan want us to be one, except for the people in power and some religious psychopaths. Speak India is with the 99.99% and it is my appeal to all the citizens of India and Pakistan to promote peace and unity. Apart from that the military rule in Pakistan, I feel is a major hurdle (led by Pervez Musharaff ). Any ways art and culture I feel is going to lead the way. So CHAK DE INDIA and PAKISTAN.

Lyrical trends of 2007

Posted by speakindia on December 31, 2007

In 2007  the lyrics of our bollywood songs changed drastically and we listened to something new this time. The lyrics were simple, easy to understand and casual. Normally our lyricists are quite adept at their job and use language in a very aesthetic manner, which takes some time to understand. It was nice for a change.

Best lyrics of 2007

1. BIDI JALAILE – omkara

2. E Ganpat chal Daaru la – shootout at lokhandwala

What to do on 31st December 2007

Posted by speakindia on December 30, 2007

What to do on 31st December 2007 becomes the most important question in the last week of 2007. The answers are many. But I decided to rate these answers starting from the worst answers i.e. the least important answer to the best answer(what I think should be done)

# The decision of “Where to party” (i.e. with friends) [Worst question]

# “Which BABA/Astrologer is the best adviser. “ [remember you are your own best adviser, Babas' can tell you what is going to happen, but cannot change your destiny. You can change your own destiny]

# “Which program/movie to watch on Television” [Stop being such a couch potato and for gods' sake, switch off that idiot box]

# Plan your 2008. Take the blessings of your relatives and pray for a happier tomorrow. Bring more love in your life and throw out anger. Try to help others, the needy and have fun. My idea of spending the 31st December 2007 is to spend with family. So have fun. Chao!!! [Thats the right choice... Aha...]

Top 5 professions of 2007

Posted by speakindia on December 30, 2007

#(1) Music reality TV

Music reality TV became the best profession in 2007 offering instant fame to the talented singers, the not so talented singers, anchors and the judges, giving them a platform to pursue a profession in which success is hard to come. Not to forget the moolahs earned by the TV channel by promoting almost every movie and the mobile service providers (SMeSSes… The actual mess)

The winners in music reality TV are

1. Saregamapa
2. Indian Idol
3. Star voice of India
4. Mission Ustad
5. Bathroom singer

#(2) Sadhus/Astrologers/Yoga guru on News channels

The most viewed and believed people on the television are the sadhu babas who give their advices to the people who have time to listen. They actuate people to think positively and give other pravachan and not to mention the dakshina(donations)

#(3) News Anchors

Plenty of news channels have popped up creating ample opportunities for journalists and news anchors. Don’t forget the BREAKING NEWS and the CRIME reporting program where the anchor, I suppose looks like the actual criminal(no offenses, just kidding)

 #(4) Comedians/actors (daily soaps)

The number of channels offering family and wholesome entertainment have quadrupled in the last few years. With these channels, the number of serials have also increased and hence creating opportunities for the big screen, not so lucky dreamers to showcase their talent and earn a good sum of money. Apart from them we also have the behind the screen people who have also got a chance to work in the creative field.

The breath of fresh air : The reality show : “Great Indian laughter challenge” was a breath of air, giving us viewers a relief from the emotion packed family sagas. Although this entertainment was not always family oriented and crossed the line between decent(slap stick) and vulgar. Not to mention the agony of those who were the victims of their gig.

#(5) Software oriented

Finally at the bottom of top 5 is a not so high paying glamorous field but we have a field that has given handsome salary and a good status to many Indians.

The Crumble Begins

Posted by speakindia on December 29, 2007

The Indian fight begins as India has a mammoth uphill task of scoring 499 runs with two days left. India can save this match only by winning it. The option of a draw test match seems distant as in that case the weather gods would have the pivotal role.

Predictions

India will loose the first test match

But India will go on to win the next two and clinch series

Remember that when Steve Waugh came ,  India were in a similar situation and Australia too were in a similar situation after consecutively winning about 16 tests. The only difference is that this time we are playing in Australia.

Tea Time: Narendra Modi needs to visit a dentist

Posted by speakindia on December 28, 2007

Narendra Modi and his teeth

This picture shows the bad teeth of Narendra Modi. He needs to visit a dentist ASAP. Why do our politicians ignore their health, when health is the most important wealth ? Anyways he is doing a good job and like all the other problems he has fixed, I hope he fixes this problem too, provided somebody around him goes and tells him, or has the guts to do so.
